Efficient and correct defect reporting and effective walkround checks are an essential part of every compliant operators maintenance and inspection practices and procedures. If an operator is not confident or sure that their drivers carry out both of the above on a daily basis then they are not complying with the obligations given to the Traffic Commissioner when the operator was granted Goods Vehicle Operators Licence.
